Godly Community

When I look back over my life and all that I’ve been through, I can think of several things that I am thankful for on a daily basis: Life, Love, Health, Freedom just to name a few. But more recently, I am reminded time and again about the blessing of Godly Community. There’s a verse in the Bible found in Ecc 4:12 that states “A person standing alone can be attacked and defeated, but two can stand back-to-back and conquer. Three are even better, for a triple-braided cord is not easily broken.”

The Creative Collective

It’s so much fun to have a group of believers to do life with!

Christmas Shenanigans

A group of people that you don’t have to spend time defending your beliefs to -at every turn explaining how your short comings are merely a part of the process of grace -people who laugh WITH you when you laugh and when you cry, they’re right there by your side comforting you. They will not allow you to ride alone. When you have to have difficult conversations, they will help you unpack your emotions prior to and text you the whole time making sure they don’t need to pull up lol. They rejoice with you when you come up; when things that you have been needing or even just wanting come through- they’re celebrating with you and on your behalf. They celebrate YOU! More importantly, they pray with you, hold your arms up when you feel weak and when the battles and storms of life are raging, they are right there in the storm with you not standing on the sidelines waiting to see how things are going to turn out.

Jesus was very clear, in this world we WILL have trouble

“BUT God” always = HOPE. He says He gives us His peace. God chooses to use people to do His work in the Earth. I believe that Godly Community is a construct designed by the Father to ensure that we reach that expected end He has intended for us. You see times come in everyone’s life where you are rendered motionless or paralyzed by fear, grief, feelings of inadequacy, the opinions of others, past failures, financial issues or obstacles that to you seem insurmountable; in those times, we need a group of people that will carry us around the noise, lift us up, bust a hole in the roof and place us at the foot of the Savior where we can find what we need: peace, love, joy, healing, forgiveness, freedom, resources, hope for tomorrow! And yes even motivation to get up at 4 a.m. and workout to make sure you reach your fitness goals!

Let us hold tightly without wavering to the hope we affirm, for God can be trusted to keep His promise. Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near.
