My prayer is that you learn to live under an open Heaven. For living under an open Heaven happens when one lives with an open hand.
Whatever you have in your hand, God can use it, if you’re willing to loose it.
The way to live under an open Heaven is to give; the way to posses a giving heart is to understand that nothing you posses is yours. It is all a gift from God. When we give as God leads us to give, 3 things happen for sure:
- WE experience the blessing of communion with God. Because giving is a natural extension of God’s love for others, when we allow God to bless others through us, the power of God literally flows through us. Therefor just as the puppet being moved by the hand of the puppeteer, we feel the hand of God using us. Just as water flows through a pipe, we are filled and overflowing with the presence of God as we give to others in obedience to Him. We must be careful to give as the Lord leads not capriciously. It’s easy to be moved by feelings or the need to please others. It’s better to be moved by the Spirit.
- When God knows we are a river not a reservoir, He will continue to pour into us because He knows He can trust us with what He gives us to give. When giving is yielding to the will of Holy Spirit, in essence, it’s giving back to Him. “…whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me….” Matt 25:40 – 45.
- You can’t beat God’s giving, no matter how you try. God will multiply His blessings in our lives. Just like He did with the boy who gave his lunch of a what seemed a measly few fish and loaves of bread, there will not only be enough, there will be overflow. That overflow will be just enough to bless others and in a way that is exactly what they need: just as there were twelve baskets left over after feeding the multitude (1 for each disciple)!
So may you always live under an open Heaven…
as you give, may God open a window from Heaven and pour out a blessing you will not have room to receive May you have more peace love joy mercy faith wealth wisdom than you can contain and may you live with an open hand guided by a heart yielded to God.
